Classy & Sassy

Shirt | Loft  Sandals | Nine West  Skirt | Cotton On  Clutch | Target

Hello again dear readers! Lets keep this short and sweet.. Today's look on SL reflects my mood lately. I've been sporting very basic pieces and more monochromatic looks than I usually do. Nevertheless, I feel that adding color reflects my personality more, but I guess Pinterest has influenced me greatly. To add a little more to this look, I decided to leave my hair curly and free! Tell me what you think!! Your thoughts are appreciated and took into consideration! If you love this look.. Share with others and try your own version! (tag me in your post so I can see your spin on this look @stephivelez) I would love to see it :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Perfectly Plaid

Sandals || Franco Sarto  Jeans || UO  Plaid || F21  Shirt || Target  Bag || H&M

My typical school outfit would resemble something similar to this look. I get commnets like "You dress up too much for school" or "I honestly don't have that much time to get all dressy just for class." Well I truly have always been this way... even in high school! Styling, in my eyes, is an opportunity to express myself and has nothing to do with "dressing up" ;). Since classes have just begun I thought I'd show you a typical school look! On to more amusing things, shall we??
Lets talk jeans! I am currenly infatuated with these ripped jeans. During my trip to New York, I scored these lovely BDG high rise ripped jeans and have taken every possible chance to wear them. These beauties were orginally 90 dollars. However, they were on sale, and I proudly say that they came out to only 15 dollars!!! Thank you, Jesus!!! To add a little color to this look I decide to wrap some plaid around my waist and call it a day.

Is it Fall yet?

Over and over again I find myself adventuring Winter Park and finding lovely areas to collect moments. I hesitate at times to bring my camera because I want to show everyone instantly the delightful spots I come across, yet somehow I managed to record this look to show you all through SL. My dear friend Amanda who is quite the inspiration was kind enough to help me out and of course I had to show you all how stylish and beautiful she is yet again! During my trip to New York last month, I came across this dreamy dress in n Urban Outfitters in Manhattan. I was immediately drawn to it, but hesitant at the same time because usually what I am drawn to may not be in my budget! ( I know I am not the only girl with expensive taste ;)) When I checked the price my heart sank to my stomach... the dress was a whopping ten dollars!! Probably the cheapest dress I've purchased and most definitely the loveliest! Alright alright...enough about the dress.. It is apparent to me that these dark colors aren't technically "summer colors", but I am a fall girl at heart! I paired it with some black booties and tied a flannel around my waist and out the door I went!
I'm an expert at rambling to be honest, but all this to say that fall is extremely close..so much so that I can almost taste it! Hears to the many more fall inspired looks!

OE

Truly I do not know what I love more about Oxford Exchange.. it is either the dreamy checkerboard tiles or the greenery that lingers through the walls or even the captivating smell of books, coffee, tea and goodies that are mixed all into one. If you are ever in Tampa please take the time to stop by and enjoy the lovely atmosphere and if you feel up to it.. buy yourself a London fog and I promise you that your day will be brighter! I cannot take full credit for these photos because I was so overwhelmed with the beauty of the place that I just took photos with my iPhone for intsagram (click here to see the picture I posted) and my boyfriend went crazy with my camera.. thank goodness!
Hope you enjoyed my little adventure!

Skin Care Routine

Hello again! As promised I am going to reveal my skin care routine. These products work for me and I encourage you to give them a try! The prices on the products do vary but they are beyond worth it! I Make up is great but what good is it if we don't take care of the canvas (our face). Take care of your face! One day you'll truly be happy you did.

Rules I run by..
Never sleep with your make up on
Always use a cleanser
Moisturize face once in the morning & once at night
Drink Lots of water! (cleanses body and minimizes impurities)

For my every day routine, I use Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash. First of all I must say that I love Origins and all of their products! Just the thought of natural products that really work makes me happy!
Use this product in the morning and at night
After cleansing,  I always use a moisturizer. My all time favorite moisturizer lately has been
Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright with SPF 30. All it took was one use and I fell in love. Moisturizers should have SPF! This protects your skin from the harsh sun!
This next product I just stated to use because my mother gave me a little lesson on how to age gracefully. My mother has beautiful eyes and she started to use eye creme at the age of 20 to minimize wrinkles as she grew older. I purchased this Elizabeth Arden Eye Cream at T.j. Maxx for a reasonable price and I love the moisture it provides for my eyes!
The last thing I moisturize is my lips. Some people just put cream on their lips, but I love this Rosebud Salve Lip Balm! My lips always feel extremely soft.
To remove make up I use make up remover wipes because its fast and easy! Any brand is typically good when it comes to this stuff.
Lastly, 1-2 times a week I use the Modern Friction Exfoliator  followed by the Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask. This is probably my favorite step of the week simply because the exfoliator and mask leave my pores incredibly smooth and clear! You must try it!!! :)

I Hope you enjoyed my little skin care routine! If you have any questions feel free to email Scarletlipsblog@gmail.com or leave me a comment below!

P.S. Heres a helpful tip.. If you wanna know the ideal amount of water you should drink take your body weight divide that by two and drink whatever number you got in ounces! Buying a huge water bottle will help you keep track!
