Winter Mix Print

Skirt/ Cotton On Nike Blazers/  Vneck/ Cotton On ASOS Cardigan/ F21 Lips/ Ruby Woo by Mac

Well hello again! I'm spicing up Scarlet Lips today with a little help from my handsome brother. He has impecable taste and thought.. why not? His look is the truly what fall is all about! The leather jacket just pulls everything together. (trying to convince you a bit there haha)
As for my look, I wanted to shoot some photos on a mixed print outfit and put this look together. I really love the way the plaid print and the winter print go together..it just fits right! On a previous post, I mentioned that print on print is a good way of swithcing things up and here is a perfect example of just that! Trying living on the edge with your outfits ;)
During this semester, I had been looking for some comfortable shoes that I can wear with any type of look and these Nike Blazers are perfection! I use them frequently..specially for college! Super comfortable!
Have a lovely weekend!

Back in Action

Booties/ Dolce Vita Skirt/ F21 Plaid shirt/ f21 Sweater/ H&M Lipstick/ Ruby woo by MAC
Pardon my absence but I am back in action and ready for this fall season! This college semester has been challenging requiring most of my time. Now on to the good stuff!

Live and breath plaid this holiday season! I am utterly obsessed with anything plaid and forgive me in advance for all of the plaid posts. I just cant help it! Layering is probably the key to the fall/ winter season. Looking for ways to stay warm, look cute yet not look like I've been wearing the same thing over and over again. Hopefully I can help you try different things and give a spin to your wardrobe.
My advice for this season: purchase pieces that can go with everything (stay away from too much pattern). If you have solid colored clothing it is easier to balance the pattern and the solids. Next: use pattern on pattern (like in these photos). Although you may feel that you stand out a bit, being bold requires bold moves, so try it out!

Keeping It Simple

Flats/ Call It Spring Jeans/ Nasty Gal Top/ T.J. Max Necklace/ Accessorize Braceletes/ BCBG

High waisted jeans are a big statement in my book. I dont wear jeans often, so this may come as a surprise, but anything high waisted is the way to my heart. Nasty Gal had a sale in the beginning of the year and I could not hold back on making these light washed jeans my own. I love this comfortable look! What do you think?

Pattern Beauty

Dress/ Primark Wedges/ Steve Madden Bracelets/ BCBG Necklace/ Francescas
If you know me, you know that I am a lover of skirts and dresses. I guess its just one of those girly things that I cant get enough of. This tribal dress was purchased during my trip in London at a lovely store called Primark. I didn't know what this store was all about until I was on Oxford Street in London shopping around. The store has about 3 floors filled with beautiful clothing for guys and girls. I did most of my shopping there simply because of the great prices and cute clothing! If you ever get the chance to come across this store you will go crazy! haha You have been warned!
Hope you've had a lovely weekend!

London On My Mind

Dreams do come true! I had the lovely privilege of celebrating my brother's 21st birthday in London! Can you believe it? because I still cant. It was truly a dream and I feel completely and utterly blessed by every moment spent in England. The shopping was on another level! I felt like a kid on christmas! Here are some shots of my first day there. My outfit was simple because of the weather and the massive amount of walking. The next few post will be of my day in paris and my last days in London. Thanks for stopping by!!
